Fractured Connections in the Caribbean (Early-Career Symposium)
We are pleased to share with you the final programme for the Caribbean Research Society’s 2026 (SOCARE) Early Career Researchers’ Symposium, entitled ‘Fractured Connections in the Caribbean’. The event will take place on the 18 of June at the Centre for Development Research (ZEF) and on the 19 of June at the Department of Anthropology of the Americas at the University of Bonn. We are delighted with the diversity of speakers and topics to be discussed over the course of these two days. We would also like to welcome our keynote speakers, Professor Tessa McWatt and Professor Dr Jean Marie Théodat, whose work continues to inspire important debates in the field of Caribbean studies. These keynote lectures are open to the public and can also be attended virtually. Please see the attached links: 1. Program 2. Professor Tessa McWatt´s lecture 3.
