The university enables students of the department to take part in a variety of lectures, exhibitions and other events. The interdisciplinary exchange with the neighboring subjects of cultural anthropology can be tested here.

Writing Lab

The writing lab offers all students support in writing term papers and the Master's thesis. The consultations focus on academic writing as such and problems such as writer's block are discussed. The project itself ended in 2020, but all information and documents are still available.

Career Service

The Career Service of the University of Bonn is at your disposal for all interdisciplinary questions regarding career orientation, career entry and application strategies.

AStA 8General Students' Committee)

The AStA (AStA, short for ‘Allgemeiner Studierendenausschuss’ in German) provides information on current developments in university policy and networks student initiatives, student councils and the university groups of the student parliament. There is also a wide range of advice and services on BAföG, studying abroad, legal issues, psychosocial stress, computers, bicycle repair shop, studying with children or student housing.

Studierendenwerk Bonn (Student Services Bonn)

In addition to the cafeteria services, the Studierendwerk offers placement in its own halls of residence or kindergartens. It is also responsible for BAföG notifications for students in Bonn and arranges temporary jobs and internships via a job exchange.

Tutorials - University IT and Data Center (HRZ)
