Ab dem 13.10.2025 bietet ein Gastdozent der Universität Sonora einen spanischsprachigen Kurs zur ethno-linguistischen Feldforschung an. Im Fokus stehen theoretische Grundlagen, Methoden der Datenerhebung und -dokumentation sowie ethische Aspekte der Feldarbeit. Der Kurs kombiniert Literatur, Übungen und Präsentationen und schließt am 4.12. mit einer gemeinsamen Feldforschung ab. Veranstaltungsort ist der Lehrraum 1.001 (Oxfordstraße 15), montags und ein drei Mittwochen von 12–14 Uhr.

The symposium explores Caribbean complexity through notions of connection, bond, and fracture, engaging Glissant’s “relation” and Benítez-Rojo’s “repetitive multiplicity.” It invites early-career researchers to examine cultural exchanges, migration, language, environment, and historical ruptures. Interdisciplinary perspectives will address methodological challenges, narrative formations, and future possibilities. Submissions due October 30, 2025.
