Kursankündigung: Resistance, Agency and Citizenship
We are excited to announce an upcoming course led by Dra. Elizabeth Cejudo Ramos! Starting from the women´s and gender history perspective, the course proposes a path through the conformation, consolidation and diversity of Mexican feminism throughout the XX century. The sessions contemplate theorical notions for studies on feminisms, as well as the analysis of processes which contemplate the circulation of ideas, collective action and transnational alliances, particularly those established in the Latin American region, purposely on the search for feminine suffrage approval and posteriorly on the configuration of the so called third world. The course puts forward three major stages: the breakthrough caused by the Mexican Revolution and the constitution of a State feminism; the neofeminism in the frame of the global seventies and the new manifestations after the armed up raise of the Zapatista National Liberation Army (EZLN in Spanish) in the decline of the XX century.
