The initial project proposal was presented to the leaders and villagers of the Waiwai community of Jatapuzinho in 2020. With the support of two Waiwai researchers, the final project proposal was developed and presented to the rest of the indigenous people in September 2022, during the annual assembly of the communities of the Trombetas-Mapuera territory.
