Between November 29 and December 3, 2022, in the city of Manaus (AM), a meeting was held like the one held in June of the same year in Rurrenabaque, but with an emphasis on the Brazilian Waiwai Indigenous researchers. There were 85 participants, including 5 indigenous researchers from Bolivia and 65 indigenous Waiwai; the project coordinator, Carla Jaimes Betancourt; two researchers from WCS-Bolivia and 10 researchers from the Brazilian team.
Through participatory work and with the help of facilitators, basic concepts of the different disciplines were shared. Experiences were also exchanged between researchers from Bolivia and Brazil, most of whom were meeting for the first time. A general discussion was held on project management, focusing on the articulation of activities in Brazil with the Waiwai. Similarly, concepts such as, cultural heritage and territoriality, and the respective methodological tools of the disciplines involved in the project were presented.
